Hello and welcome to memogirl!
This is a personal website built and maintained by me, Maxine. I'm not in tech in any professional way, but I started learning HTML/CSS for fun in 2023 and the hobby kind of got away from me, so here I am.
My initial goal in building this site was to figure out how to use a static site generator, so I could start using it on my main site. But why not do something cute + fun with it while I'm at it? :)
This website is coded by hand in VSCode using the SSG 11ty/Eleventy. It is currently hosted on Vercel. I test the site on my laptop and phone on Firefox. The hand-drawn site assets are by me.

2024-07-07: added new files: drink, talk, learn and low stakes talks.
2024-07-01: added an about page and a guestbook!

why memogirl?
I write a lot of memos for myself, and I am a girl. :)
Memo also calls to mind "memory" and "remembering", and I do a lot of that too. Many of my hobbies can be linked to an intrinsic desire to never forget the things I've felt or experienced or thought or loved!
